I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
